3 in the morning we sit down we forget to make fun of those weird neon lights like Olympic rings. How are your hands? I watch the party of 8 at your back and you, the swishing cars at mine. Over bowls of heavy silence we stir the familiar broth a bouquet of basil on the table between us covering a bed of sprouts.
